268. Samuel BLYTH was born about 1801. He was baptized on 1 Aug 1824 in Langham Baptist Church, Essex. He was made Executor to the will of his father, James Blyth, on 12 Jul 1837 in London. He died on 27 Jan 1859 in Park Lane, Langham, Essex. Samuel died aged 58, after a short illness.
27 Feb 1859: An entry in the minutes book of Langham Baptist Chapel said "Mr Samuel Blyth Jnr Deacon of the Church died after a few days illness. He had been a very active and useful member of the Church for 36 years and Deacon for 25. His death was felt to be a great loss to the Church and to the parish generally." His Will was proved on 16 Aug 1859. Samuels will was proved by Jane Slann, otherwise Blyth, of Langham. She was a Spinster and the sole executor. His estate was valued under £1000. He was a Farmer as per 1851 Census in Langham, Essex. 1841 Census: Samuel was shown as a Farmer.
1851 Census: Samuel was farming 100 acres and employed 7 agricultural labourers. He was buried in Langham Baptist Church, Essex. He was also known as Samuel Blyth Jnr. 1833: Samuel applied to be a Deacon of Langham Baptist Church. He was duly appointed.
1841 Census: Samuel, 35, was living with his wife at New House, Langham. They also had Mary Blyth, 30, born Essex, living with them.
1851 Census: Samuel, 50, was living in Langham. He had 2 servants with him.
1859: Probate of Samuels will shows he was of Park Lane, Langham.

He was married to Phoebe Weldon SLANN on 13 Oct 1836 in Greenwich, London. Samuel was from Langham, Phoebe, the eldest daughter of Mrs Slann, was from Vanburg-Fields, Blackheath. Phoebe Weldon SLANN was born about 1799. She died on 2 Mar 1846. Phoebe died aged 47. She was buried in Langham Baptist Church, Essex. 1841 Census: Phoebe,35, was living with her husband at New House, Langham. Samuel BLYTH and Phoebe Weldon SLANN had the following children:
